One of our warmups this past week was Thinking with Shapes. Students cut out 4 generic shapes (2 differently-sized rectangles, square, and a triangle) and were given 8 problems to solve by taking the correct
amount of shapes and creating a picture related to the sentence given. One of the sentences was, "I like to water the plants-4" which told students they could use all 4 shapes to show them watering the plants. Many of us created a watering container that was very unique (no 2 were alike!) After students solved all 8 problems, they made their own shape riddles for us to solve! Here is a collage of the shapes we thought were our best.
